Frost Man Sprite by Hfbn2427 viewsHere we have a wider selection of comparison sprites, as there actually was an official 8 bit sprite of Frost Man thanks to Mega Man 10. In this instance, the RM8FC sprite was actually pretty good, but I do think Hfbn2's version handled some details better, like the knuckles for example, giving them more definition.

Aqua Man Sprite by Hfbn2403 viewsOne thing that admittedly bothers me about RM8FC is some of the boss sprites just don't have the level of detail that the RM7FC sprites did. Hfbn2, however, decided to try his hand at 8 bit sprites of some of the MM8 Robot Masters. This was the first he showed me, and already, his skill in spriting is on good display here, getting the pose seemingly a lot closer than the RM8FC version.

Astro Man Sprite by Hfbn2380 viewsThe official RM8FC sprite for Astro Man does seem to leave a bit to be desired. Hfbn2's version has the colors a lot closer, as well as showing a lot more detail on the overall form. The hands and the orbs especially seem a lot cleaner on Hfbn2's version.

Search Man Sprite by Hfbn2369 viewsHfbn2's version of Search Man seems to get his overall body shape a lot closer to the original. Credit to RM8FC though on this, I do think Search Man is one of their better programmed Robot Masters, sticking closer to the original than some of the others.
